A SURGERY has given the first Covid-19 vaccine to 570 people on the clinic’s first day in operation.
Greensward Surgery, in Greensward Lane, Hockley, started giving the vaccines on Wednesday to its most vulnerable patients.
By the end of the first day, the clinic had given 570 people their doses.
A spokesman said: “We are delighted to have completed our first Covid vaccine clinic today for our most vulnerable patients.
“The Greensward team worked incredibly hard and we hope everyone found it well organised.
"A huge thank you to all the patients who came for remembering your face masks and observing social distancing.
“We will contact you when it’s your turn to be vaccinated. We look forward to seeing you for your vaccines soon.”
