A woman, who was one part of the UK’s first couple with Down’s Syndrome to marry, has now been given her Covid jab.
Maryanne Pilling from Shoebury received her first dosage of the vaccination.
It comes after she lost her beloved husband Tommy to the virus at the start of the year.
A family spokesman said: "We're so thankful for our NHS and for the opportunity to have the vaccine.
"It has been very emotional Maryanne having this because everything would have been so different if our Tommy could have had it. Such a mix of emotions."
The couple had celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in July and shielded for much of 2020.
They boast 70,000 followers from across the world.
