A 12-year-old is set to become south Essex’s next superstar as she prepares to take centre stage in a Netflix film.

Sadie Thwaites, from Hullbridge, has already modelled for the likes of Gucci and Dior, as well as rubbing shoulders with Emma Bunton.

Legally, the youngster cannot reveal the name of the Netflix film, but her mum hinted it would be a “re-make of a well known classic”.

And in between nine hour days rehearsing, the youngster has written her on song and created a music video - encouraging kids to be “anything they want to be”.

Despite the challenges of balancing her education and busy career, Sadie was able to create her song “I know I can”.

As part of her glowing portfolio, Sadie opened Emma Bunton’s Christmas concert at the Royal Albert Hall back in 2019 as a mini-version of the Spice Girls star.

Louise, 37, said: “I did question whether she would manage it on top of everything else, but she said it’s been a really hard year with everyone not being able to do the things they love and enjoy.

“So she wanted to send a positive message to everyone to not give up on their dreams.

“I couldn’t be more proud of her, she did it all herself in about a months time. She even got all her friends to send videos of themselves doing what they love, whether it be football, horse-riding whatever it is.

"Sadie then edited it altogether for the video.”

Among talents, Sadie started modelling aged four. Just weeks later, she got her first job for ASDA Magazine, and has since walked in London Fashion Week.

Louise added: “Sadie leaves home at 7.15am and doesn’t get home until 9pm, but she absolutely loves it. There is a lot of singing and dancing involved, which is what she’s always wanted to do. And she has three hours of tutoring while she’s there.

“We can’t say much for now, but they’re expected to start filming in April and that will run until September. It is such an exciting time for her and we can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
