Police recovered 200 wraps of suspected crack and heroin while patrolling tower blocks in Southend.

Working closely with the Essex Police intelligent unit, the Southend Proactive Team yesterday (March 9) patrolled around tower blocks in the town.

During their patrols, they located two males who were not in fact from the area.

And after conducting searches, police recovered an estimated 200 wraps of suspected crack and heroin, alongside a drug line phone.

Two 19-year-old men from London have both been charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs and have been remanded to appear before court this morning.
