A LOST dog was found wondering around Hawkwell by a group of children.
Pepper the terrier had managed to get away from her owners in the village and was on an adventure by herself.
However, thanks to the help of some children who spotted her walking around, she was able to be reuinted with her owner.
Sharing the news on Twitter, PC Jed Raven of the Essex Police Rural Engagement Team said: "Little Pepper decided to go on a little adventure around Hawkwell.
"Some helpful children found her, with the assistance of the mobile fingerprint device (microchip reader) and some contacts from PC Harkness, she has been taken home."
