THREE teenagers have been arrested in connection with a serious collision in Canewdon which occured during the early hours of this morning.
A black Ford Fiesta veered off of Creeksea Ferry Road and into a ditch at around 1.50am.
An 18 year-old woman has since been taken to hospital after reportedly sustaining chest injuries and is described as being in a life-threatening condition.
Two 17 year-old boys and a 17-year-old girl were also taken to hospital.
They have now been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and remain in custody.

Enquiries are ongoing to locate a fifth person believed to be in the vehicle, a woman, who is believed to have left the scene following the collision.
The road has been closed while Essex Police officers investigate the incident.
