A 76-year-old man from Leigh will stand trial after a crash which left a man injured.
Peter Perry has appeared in court charged with driving without consideration for others, failing to stop after a crash and failing to report a crash.
It follows an incident on July 10 last year in Eastwood Road, Rayleigh where a man was injured following a crash with a vehicle.
The driver left the scene after failing to give their details.
Perry, of Suffolk Avenue, Leigh, appeared at Southend Magistrates' Court yesterday where he denied all three charges.
He will stand trial on September 16 at the same court.
He was released on bail.
