A BUSY road has been closed this afternoon due to a serious collision.
Daws Heath Road, Benfleet, has been shut by Essex Police.
A crash has taken place near the Woodmans Arms pub.
Traffic is slow in the area, with roadworks also taking place on the A129, Rayleigh Road.

We are currently dealing with serious RTCs in the #Rayne area with #A120 closed and #Benfleet with Daws Heath Road affected.

Drivers have been advised to avoid the area this afternoon whilst emergency services are at the scene.
