A MAN forcibly raped a woman three times after a night out at a nightclub, a court heard.

Heine Esterhuizen, 25, of Royal Mews, Southend, was on trial at Basildon Crown Court yesterday charged with three counts of rape and causing actual bodily harm.

The court heard how he allegedly beat the woman in and outside of a car during one incident after a night out.

The court was shown a video of a police interview where the victim spoke about the ordeal.

During the interview she said: “We got back and I fell asleep and he woke me up about 3am and raped me.

“I was lying on my left side when I went to sleep and he was wearing his boxers and I had my dress on and still my underwear on.

“I was on my side and I remember he grabbed me and he was pushing me down and I was asking what he was doing.

“I was telling him to stop and was trying to push back against him but he kept pushing me down.

“It’s making me sick thinking about it, I was face down and he was pushing my face onto the bedsheets.

“There was a lot of weight on me and it was really uncomfortable and I had a sore neck for days.

“I kept telling him to stop and that I didn’t want to have sex with him.”

Speaking during the police interview, she alleged the sex was painful and not like consensual sex.

Crying during the police interview, she added that it was very painful and she was made to feel it was her fault.

She said: “He kept being really forceful and the next day I could hardly sit down and when I did I was reminded of what happened.”

The trial continues.
