SOUTHEND residents will go to the polls next month.

Every ward in the borough has candidates standing for a seat on the council. The elections were delayed by a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

But with restrictions easing and the rollout of the vaccination programme, the elections are going ahead on May 6 this year.
