A MAN arrested in connection to a crash on a busy roundabout has been released.
Essex Police arrested the 23-year-old man on Tuesday following a crash at the Sadlers Farm roundabout connecting the A13 and A130.
A pedestrian suffered serious injuries in the crash with a car at around 2.20pm.
The man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and perverting the course of justice.
Police confirmed yesterday that the man has been released under investigation while their enquiries continue.
Witnesses described seeing multiple police cars at the scene, with pictures showing traffic building around the area.
A section of the roundabout was closed with delays leading up to it from all directions from Pitsea, Canvey and Benfleet.
Police are still appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the incident.
