Buses are being diverted after a crash in Southend.

Arriva have had to divert service 9 along Priory Crescent due to the incident, which happened around 3.30pm this afternoon (April 15).

There is slow moving traffic in both directions from Priory Crescent to Fairfax Drive due to the accident, which took place on Victoria Avenue (A127).

Emergency services are believed to remain at the scene.

A spokesperson from Arriva Herts and Essex, said: "#SOUTHEND Service 9 due to a police incident are been diverted along priory crescent.

"Victoria ave is currently closed."

UPDATE:

  • The incident has now been cleared
  • A spokesperson from Essex Police, said: "We were called at around 2:30pm today (Thursday, 15 April) following a report of a road traffic collision involving one vehicle in Victoria Avenue, Southend. No injuries reported. The road was closed whilst officers dealt with the incident."
