Plans to turn an Indian restaurant into flats have been unveiled.
Mr J Reed is seeking planning permission to change the use of 28 Clifftown Road in Southend to residential.
The plans are for the ground and basement floors only, where the Keralam restaurant operates.
The statement goes on to add the addition of two new flats would help to add to affordable housing in Southend and coincide with the first and second floor of the building which is also flats.
No car parking spaces would be made available to occupants of the ground and basements floor flats due to their close proximity to Southend rail station.
The plans come amid a host of proposals to replace former shops and restaurants in Southend town centre with flats.
Schemes to turn both the former Miss Selfridge shop and KFC restaurant, both in Southend High Street, into multiple flats have been submitted to the council in recent weeks.
