A CURIOUS and clever police dog named after a popular biscuit helped officers sniff out a suspected drug dealer.
Essex Police crews from the force's dedicated drugs unit stopped a vehicle in Canvey on April 18 after it attracted their attention.
After pulling the driver over, police pooch Oreo found a quantity of wraps containing what officers believed to be cocaine.
As a result, a 35-year-old man, also from the town, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class A drug.
He was then interviewed in custody before being released under investigation whilst the force conduct further enquiries.
