A man has suffered a broken leg during an unprovoked attack in Southend.
The victim, a man aged in his 20s, was attacked on Friday April 23 shortly after 11pm after going to Tesco, near to the Kursaal, in Southchurch Avenue.
As he left the store he was kicked by a man and during the attack he sustained a broken leg and is now recovering at home.
The attacker was wearing a grey hooded top, with his hood up, and is about 6ft tall and of stocky build.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information on the assault to come forward.
