Southend RNLI were called out to assist and help three casualties at sea after an engine power failure on their boat yesterday.
The three people were on route from London to Essex Marina at Wallasea Island.
Not long after the incident, HM coastguard were tasked to reports of a vessel that had drifted onto the shoreline on Western Esplanade.
They were called at 5.10pm and attended the scene to get eyes on and secure the vessel after concerns about the increasing storm force winds.
While at the scene, the team were informed the owner was coming back down to the vessel to discuss their options.
The coastguard team spoke to the owner and provided safety advice around the weather and tide conditions in the coming days.
The owner made arrangements to deal with the vessel on the next available tides.
Southend coastguard informed Dover CGOC and the team were stood down.
Southend coastguard have thanks community officers who stayed on scene to provide support.
