A MAN has been charged with robbing a shop at knifepoint in Wickford.
Cash was stolen from the Co-op in Nevendon Road on Tuesday April 27 this year.
Following a police investigation, a man has now been charged in connection to the incident.
Billy Sharp, 37, of Newlands Road, Wickford, was charged with robbery and possession of a knife in a public place.
He appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and is next due to appear at Basildon Crown Court on May 28.
