The Conservatives have clung onto their majority on Castle Point Borough Council.

This year's elections have seen the Tory's majority reduced from two to one. 

The party lost three of its seats to the newly formed People's Independent Party but claimed two others to cling onto power. 

The Conservatives have 21 of the 41 seats on the council, with Canvey Island Independents and the People's Independent Party making up the rest.
