A THIRTY-four-year-old Carlisle man told police officers he would "blow up" a sandwich shop.
At the city's Rickergate court, Michael Sirey Parker, of Warwick Road, pleaded guilty to two offences. They were:
* On March 19, threatening behaviour by telling police that he would "blow up the shop", intending that the threat would be believed. It happened at the Blackwell Road sandwich shop Blackwell Bites.
* And on the same occasion entering the same shop with intent to steal.
The defendant was made subject to a community order last year for entering Laidlaw Auctioneers with intent to steal.
After hearing details magistrates imposed a new community order.
It includes undergoing six months of treatment with the Unity drug and alcohol organisation for alcohol dependency; a thinking skills course; and up to 20 days of activity as ordered by the Probation Service.
The defendant must also pay £175 compensation for the threatening behaviour offence as well as £85 prosecution costs.
