Sir Elton John says it was an “honour” to hand out the Player of the Year Award after watching Watford win in the last game of the Championship season.

The Hornets, who are Premier League bound, took all three points after winning 2-0 against Swansea City thanks to second half goals from Andre Gray and Isaac Success.

He was spotted watching the game, and after he took to Instagram to congratulate the Hornets for the game and also for their return to the Premier League.

He said: “Big day out for the F-J Family as we attended today’s game at @watfordfcofficial

“It was an honour to hand out Player of the Year Award to the great Ismaila Sarr. Runners up were Kiko Femenia and Francisco Sierralta.”
