A banking firm will be closing another of its south Essex branches today.
The branch in London Road in Leigh is shutting for good as part of a restructuring of TSB which will see it close 164 banks across the UK.
Bosses are urging customers in Leigh to use banking services provided by Post Office in the area.
Leigh’s Post Office is based at 101, Broadway West.
A spokesman said: “This will doubtless be disappointing to TSB’s customers in Leigh-on-Sea. However, alternative banking provision is available to local residents at post office branches nearby.2

Post offices provide a range of banking services, including deposits, free cash withdrawals and balance checks, as well as offering face-to-face access to government services, bill payment, foreign currency, travel insurance and, of course, postal services.
The closure of the TSB in Leigh is the second branch to close in south Essex this year.
The bank on Furtherwick Road on Canvey closed back in April.
As part of TSB’s plans to close branches, around 800 jobs will be lost.
Speaking about the three-year restructuring, Debbie Crosbie, chief exec of TSB, said: “We are reshaping our business to transform the customer experience and set us up for the future.
"This means having the right balance between branches on the high street and our digital platforms.”
