A police dog helped stop two men wanted in connection with criminal damage on Canvey.
The men were wanted after a restaurant window was smashed in the area yesterday.
Officers were called to the scene and spent an hour searching for the suspects.
They eventually saw the three men heading back into town.
Police dog Diesel was sent off to stop the suspects from running from officers.
Two men were arrested in connection with the smashed window, with one of them allegedly found to be in possession of a weapon.
Anyone with knows anything about the incident should contact police on 101 and quote incident number 1379 of June 10.
