A VACCINATION campaign has launched across mid and south Essex in a bid to encourage people in low uptake areas to get the jab.

The campaign, which has been launched by the mid and south Essex NHS trust, is being advertised on the back of 83 buses serving bus routes in Southend, Basildon, Wickford, Rochford and Grays.

It’s also featured on travel screens in high streets, bus stops and bus and train stations across Southend, Basildon, Thurrock and Chelmsford.

Heart Essex will also be broadcasting an advert message urging people to take up the vaccine if they haven’t done so already.

The trust has launched the Essex Vax Van, which is being used to bring clinics to people who may face barriers accessing traditional health services.

Alongside working with faith leaders, the trust has also been working with the travelling and homeless community.

The trust is continuing to work with partners and trusted community voices to provide virtual group talks, podcasts and videos in different languages to help with their campaign mission.

All people aged 18 and over are now eligible to receive their Covid vaccinations, and are being urged to do so.
