ICONIC attractions in Southend were showed off in all their glory last night as comedian Susan Calman visited the town in her new TV series.

The Southend episode of Susan Calman's Grand Week By The Sea aired last night, and there was plenty of highlights.

Here's a list of where the Scottish comedian appeared in Southend:

  • She took a tour of the town on an open top bus, despite the windy weather
  • Susan took a trip along Southend Pier's iconic pier trains

She described the pier trains, which are set to be replaced with new ones later this month, as "genius."

  • While at the end of the pier, she was joined by Birds of a Feather star Linda Robson, where they enjoyed a game of crazy golf

Susan even managed a hole in one, despite losing out to Linda's "local experience" of the course.

  • The comedian also paid a visit to Southend's top attraction Adventure Island, and took a ride on one of the rollercoasters while she as at it
  • To top off the brilliant episode, Susan "enjoyed" an open water swim with Southend group the Blue Tits, who often organise open water swims off the seafront

The Blue Tits recently took part in a fancy dress fundraiser.
