A CAR slammed into a barrier with the driver fleeing on foot in a failed attempt to evade capture.
Essex Police's south distruptor team spotted the vehicle in Hadleigh, before it rammed into the barrier trying to "get away."
After a short foot chase and a "few smashed windows" the Castle Point community policing team were drawn into help.

A man was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences.
A man has been charged with dangerous driving and failure to stop.
A spokesman from Essex Police, said: "A man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, being concerned in the supply of a control drug.
"A man was later charged with dangerous driving and fail to stop and remains under investigation."
