Two men were attacked last night near a train station, leaving one with serious injuries.

Essex Police were called to Billericay train station just after 10.50pm, where two men were found injured near the taxi rank, having been assaulted by two men who were not known to them.

One of the men suffered a minor injury, while the second suffered a serious injury but is in a stable condition.

A police probe has now been launched into the incident, with the force urging anyone who may be able to assist in their investigation to come forward.
