A crash is causing long queues to build up on the A127 this morning.
The collision is understood to have happened on the westbound carriageway near to Rayleigh Weir.
Queues have formed more than four miles back to Bridgewater Drive in Eastwood.
AA's traffic map says the road is partially blocked while First Essex has reported delays to its services due to the collision.
Delays are also being reported on the A1245 southbound and in Rayleigh.

The incident has now cleared and traffic has returned to normal levels.
