Police at the scene near the graveyard
A GRAVEYARD in Southend has been cordoned off by police.
Pictures from the scene show a police presence at St John's Church on Chancellor Road near the seafront.
All entrances to the graveyard have been blocked by police, with officers stationed near the police tape, with police vehicles also present.
Essex Police have since confirmed a woman was alleged raped in the area.
