A man was stabbed in the arm during an incident near a pub.
The victim aged in his 20 was attacked near The Cricketers Pub, London Road, Westcliff at about 4.05am this morning.
Officers rushed to the scene a large cordon was spotted around the pub.
Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident.
A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "Two men have been arrested in connection with an assault on a man in London Road, Westcliff.
"A fight was reported shortly after 4.05am on Saturday 17 July and a man aged in his 20s was found with a stab wound to his arm.
"Officers searched the area and arrested two people a short time later.
"A 19-year-old man from Leigh-on-Sea was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and affray and an 18-year-old man from Westcliff was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
"Both remain in custody for questioning."
