A SERIOUS crash on Southend seafront has now been cleared, thanks to the efforts of emergency services.
The road has now opened after the crash, which took place earlier today (July 21) along the front.
Emergency services have since thanked members of the public for their patience.
A spokesman from the Essex Roads Policing, added: "A big thank you to the members of public that offered refreshments on such a hot day."

UPDATE:
A spokesman from Essex Police, said: "We were called to reports of a collision involving a car and a cyclist in Maplin Way at the junction of Thorpe Esplanade in Southend.
"It happened shortly before 9.30am Wednesday (July 21).
"The cyclist, a man, has sustained a serious head injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.

"Please quote incident 315 of July 21.
