The roads policing officers had a busy day, and a short while late arrested another driver, this man in a Mercedes, who was stopped for driving with no insurance.
Police seized his vehicle following a roadside check which found the driver was also twice over the drink driving limit.
A spokesperson for Essex Roads Policing Said: “Two arrests yesterday for QT23, both on the A127 near Basildon. Range Rover contained a male wanted by Met Police for blackmail.
“A Mercedes was stopped following info from Operation Tutelage regarding no insurance. Driver was double the drink drive limit, his vehicle was seized also.”
