Rachel Riley has announced she has written a maths book for adults.

The 35-year-old Countdown star announced the news by sharing a video on her social media platforms.

The book, titled At Sixes and Sevens, will be out in October.

The former Southend High for Girls pupil said: "I have written a book.

"It is called At Sixes and Sevens and it is a maths book for adults who lack a little bit of confidence in the maths department and need an extra hand.

"I will be taking you by that hand and leading you every step of the way.

"It is a fun maths book so there is more references to football and cocktails than you may expect.

"It is out at the end of October and I hope you will get something from it."

Earlier this year Rachel and her professional dancer husband Pasha Kovalev announced they were expecting a second baby.

The pair met on Strictly Come Dancing in 2013, and married in Las Vegas in 2019.

The couple already have a daughter, Maven, who was born in December the same year.
