People wanting to get their first or second Covid vaccine will be able to at a number of walk-in sites across south Essex.  

While most of the remaining Covid restrictions may have been lifted, NHS staff continue delivering the vaccine. 

Here is where you can get a jab this week. 

Basildon

Walk-in Pfizer vaccinations are available at Towngate Theatre, in Basildon, from Thursday (August 5) to Sunday (August 8) for anyone over 18 years of age.

Those waiting anyone waiting a jabcan just turn up, no appointment needed for your first or second Pfizer jab from 8am – 6.30pm each day.

Thurrock

  • Wednesday (August 4) Asda Supermarket, Thurrock Park Way 9am to 3pm
  • Thursday (August 5) Corringham Town Centre 9am to 3pm
  • Friday (August 6) Asda Supermarket, Thurrock Park Way 9am to 3pm

These are for walk-in AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccinations. 

Benfleet

Pfizer jabs are available at the Benfleet Clinic, 513 High Road, on Wednesday (August 4) and Friday (August 6) from 4pm to 7pm. 

Rochford

Walk-in Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccine appointments at Puzey Practice, Rochford, on Thursday (August 5) from 8am to 4pm.

Rayleigh

There are walk-in clinics for second dose Pfizer, AstraZeneca or Moderna vaccines on Friday (August 6) at AMP Pharmacy.

Walk-in clinics will also be available for the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccine on Saturday (August 7).

First doses for the Pfizer vaccine are also available.

Clinic times are: 8am to 12.15pm, 1pm to 4.15pm and 5pm to 7.30pm.

Shoeburyness 

There are walk-in clinics for 1st and 2nd Pfizer vaccine jabs at the Salvation Army from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday (August 4) and 8am to 10am on Saturday (August 7). 

There’s no need to book an appointment in advance and you do not have to be registered with a GP or have an NHS number to be vaccinated.

If you’ve already had your first dose, you must wait at least eight weeks before your second dose.
