AN INSPIRATIONAL couple have shot to TikTok superstardom after reaching more than three million followers, and are even stopped in the street when they leave the house.

Caitlin Sheil and Leah Joseph, from Canvey, upload to the app three times a day - whether it be comedy, fun, or educational clips.

They have been so successful they’ve been able to quit their old jobs at a bakery and in support work for mental health services to commit to their new influencer role, although proving a "petrifying" transition.

The fiancées have now worked with huge names such as Spotify, Amazon Prime Video, The Body Shop, Nasty Gal, Look Fantastic and even Channel 4’s First Dates.

While it was during lockdown that the couple really saw their account pick up.

They’ve since used their platform to help raise mental health awareness and provide support to the LGBTQ community, helping both youngsters and adults to discover their true selves.

One of their recent pranks received a jaw-dropping 13.5million views.

But things have not always been a smooth ride for the duo, with their rise to fame proving quite a “surreal” journey.

Leah, 25, said: “We met all the way back in 2015, but at the time we were both in really bad places and suffered with eating disorders.

“There was a recovery community on Instagram where you could talk to people online about what you were going through, become friends, and that sort of thing.

“We met at Westfield Shopping Centre, and have been inseparable ever since.”

Caitlin, 23, added: “The whole thing has been crazy, you don’t realise how many people you’re reaching until you step outside your house, especially after lockdown.

“We’ve had people come up to us and ask for pictures, parents saying you’ve helped our son or daughter come to terms with their sexuality, and even adults too. It really does make you emotional, we’re so grateful we can help do that for people.

"We can't thank everyone enough, including our management and families, for being so supportive."
