A LARGE drugs raid has seen two men arrested on Canvey for drugs offences.

Assisted by PD Oreo and their handler, officers from the Castle Point and Rochford Community Policing Team and the South Disruptor Team seized drugs, phones and cash from flats on Seaview Road on Wednesday.

Two men, both aged 46, from Canvey remain in custody for questioning.

One has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug and possession of Class A and B drugs.

The second man has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "Following this morning's warrants, a 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs in Leigh Beck Lane just after 10.30am.

"We couldn't do these warrants without your help - if you believe someone is involved in drugs, please report it to us.

"We won't tolerate people exploiting the vulnerable in our communities.
