A MAN was found with injuries to face, head, and his torso after he was attacked last night.

The victim, who was found injured on Rectory Park Drive in Pitsea just before 7.50pm, was rushed to hospital.

A police probe has been launched.

No arrests have been made.

This comes after a man was stabbed to death in Northlands Park in Pitsea last month.

Terry Leeks, 46, was found injured in the park but later died in hospital.

A spokesman from Essex Police, said:We are investigating after a man was found injured in a street in Pitsea last night.

"We were called to Rectory Park Drive shortly before 7.50pm.

"We arrived and found a man had sustained injuries to his face, head and torso and he was taken to hospital for treatment.

"We are investigating the circumstances around the incident and we believe he was the victim of an assault.

"No arrests have been made and our enquiries are ongoing.
