Two men have been charged with dealing drugs following a series of police raids in Canvey yesterday.

Officers from Castle Point and Rochford, aided by police dog units, arrested three men in the operations.

The warrants at several Canvey addresses on Wednesday, August 4, saw police seize cash, phones and suspected drugs.

Two men have been charged and are due to appear at Southend Magistrates’ Court later today.

Jamie Kingsford, 41, of Leigh Beck Lane, Canvey, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine, possession of cannabis and using or having possession of criminal property, namely £1,025.

He is also charged with possession of cocaine and crack cocaine with intent to supply and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place following a previous arrest last week.

Raymond Reading, 46, of Seaview Road, Canvey, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine and cannabis and possession of amphetamines and cannabis.

A third man, 41, who was arrested in Leigh Beck Lane just after 10.30am yesterday, has since been released under investigation on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of cocaine and cannabis and possession of drugs.
