CRUCIAL CCTV footage near where Terry Leeks was stabbed to death has been released by Essex Police.

Detectives investigating the murder of the 46-year-old in Northlands Park, Pitsea, want to identify four people captured in the footage, who they believe may be witnesses.

The group were seen in the Lincoln Road area, close to the park, at around the time of the attack.

An eight arrest has been made, with a woman in custody on suspicion of assisting an offender.

The seven others have been released on bail.

Detective Chief Inspector Louise Metcalfe, from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, is leading the investigation and said: “These four people were in the area at the time of the murder, they may have seen something which could be important.

“I need to identify them and speak to them to find out if they have saw or heard anything.
