A police cordon has been put in place following an incident in Canvey this morning.
Witnesses have reported spotting a large police and ambulance presence at the scene at Canvey Lake today (August 30), with "five police cars" in the car park and the area taped off.

Forensics are also believed to be at the scene, with emergency services reportedly having been there since 6.30am.
Residents living in the area say the incident has taken place by the children's park, although the nature of the incident isn't yet known.
Essex Police and the ambulance service have been contacted for comment.
