A TUMBLE dryer ignited and set a whole kitchen on fire at a home.
Firefighters were called to the scene of the fire in Shakespeare Avenue, Tilbury yesterday afternoon.
A spokesman for the Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said: "On arrival crews confirmed that a fire was burning in the kitchen of the property.
"The fire was extinguished by 5.47pm.
"We believe the fire was caused accidentally, after a tumble dryer ignited."

No one was seriously injured in the fire, but the fire service have issued a warning about using tumble dryers safely.
Advice includes not using the dryers at night or when unattended, cleaning the filters after each use so they are not blocked with fluff, and removing clothes immediately after the cycle and shaken loose to assist cooling.
