Eleven roads across Southend will be repaired or resurfaced throughout September as part of a £5 million renovation of the borough’s roads.
Southend Council says its contractor, Marlborough, will be carrying out work on roads which require “immediate attention”.
Work has already been completed on Stock Road, while work is also underway on Elmsleigh Drive which is being resurfaced between number 172 and Eastwood Road North.

All road closures will be signposted two weeks before work takes place.
Bosses say all work is dependent on the weather, as crews are not able to lay roads in adverse conditions.
