Police are launching a crackdown on antisocial behaviour along the seafront on Canvey.
Officers have received reports of an increase in the number of motorbikes and quad bikes being driven by yobs along Eastern Esplanade.
They are said to be revving their engines in seafront car parks and riding along the sea wall.
Police say the riders are causing excessive noise and putting pedestrians at risk with their actions.
Most of the incidents of antisocial behaviour are said to have occurred in the evenings and detectives are now urging anyone with information to get in touch.
Police have the power to issue any riders committing antisocial behaviour with a section 59 warning.
It lasts for 12 months and means any further offences will lead to the rider being prosecuted and face losing their vehicle.
Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
