A popular leisure shop in south Essex is set to close.
Go Outdoors in High Road, Pitsea, has launched a closing down sale with at least 30 per cent of all products.
The closure has been confirmed via leaflets issued by Go Outdoors which have reportedly been sent round to residents in the area.
The large store is based near to Tesco and has been at the site for more than 10 years.
The leaflet says: "Go Outdoors Basildon store is closing down...and we have an unbeatable at least 30 per cent off everything clearance sale where everything must go!
"This is your last chance to visit this store at High Road, Hazelmere, Pitsea, SS13 3JY. But don't worry, we have Go Outdoors stores open nationwide ready to welcome you, just head to gooutdoors.co.uk to find your nearest store."
It is not currently known why the shop is closing and what will happen to staff.
Go Outdoors has been contacted for comment.
