The new Southend Pier trains have now arrived and are set to be opened to the public soon.
The new carriages were spotted on the seafront this morning on the back of a lorry.
The existing diesel trains have been in operation on the pier since 1986.
The new trains include additional capacity, USB charging points, and have state-of-the-art audio visual equipment.
Southend Pier welcomed over 74,000 visitors in August.
Posting on Twitter a Southend Pier and Railway spokesman said: "Special delivery. Did someone order a new pier train?! Staff are on site working hard to ensure the safe delivery and placement of the new pier trains! Keep an eye on our socials for more behind the scene shots."
