Here is a selection of animals from the RSPCA branches and the affiliated Danaher Animal House who are looking for a forever home.
There are some animals from the Essex South Southend & District branch, the Essex South West branch and the Danaher Animal House.
If you think you would be able to rehome one of them go to either the Essex South Southend & District and Essex South West websites or the Danaher Animal Home website for details.
You can also donate to the charities to help it carry on its rescue work at the same websites.
Lacey
Gender – Female
Age – Five years old (approx.)
Breed – Dachshund
Colour – White and tan
Lacey has not lived in a proper home before, so will need to go back to basics with a reward-based training method, learning simple things such as walking on a lead and how to be toilet trained.
She is looking for a home where her adopters are around most of the time to help her settle in, there is direct access to a private garden, and that any children in the home are of secondary school age.
It would also be helpful to be familiar with the Dachshund breed, as 25 per cent of them develop Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD).

Ben
Gender – Male
Age – Eight years old (approx.)

Ben is a shy cat who will need time to settle into a new home.
He will need to be the only animal in the house, and preferably would not live with children.
Ben will need someone to be patient with him and take things slowly as he is a little unsettled living in a cattery.

Samara
Gender – Female
Age – Not specified
Breed – Malinois Shepherd
Colour – Brown and grey
Samara is a loving and loyal dog who would benefit from finding an adult home giving her one-to-one attention.
Knowledge of the Malinois Shepherd breed would be essential for adopting Samara.
She can lack confidence and basic training so someone who is willing to guide her through that would be a helpful.

Wasabi
Gender – Male
Age – Young (not specified)
Breed – Lionhead rabbit
Colour – Grey
Wasabi is already a fairly confident rabbit, who is often up for a fuss and a cuddle.
