A POPULAR festive market will be open for longer than usual during two special events planned by organisers.

The German market at Meadow Croft Garden Centre, near Batllesbridge, is already drawing in hundreds of people and will be running each day until December 23.

But for those wanting to experience the market at night, two evening events which will see it open until 9pm will be held.

They will happen on Thursday, November 4, and Thursday, November 25.

Tickets for the events are available at the tills at the garden centre and people can choose their entry time of either 6pm or 7.30pm.

Parking will cost £5 but can be refunded against any purchase made on the night.

The market will be made up of 30 stalls, all of which have been hand-made by Roland Smith.

Many of the products available to customers have been sourced from Germany, including food and drink which can be enjoyed on the day or used as a gift for Christmas.

There will also be Kurz and Lang bratwurst sausages, German chocolate, Belgian waffles and even stollen advent calendars on offer.

The market is open daily between 9am until 5.30pm and is based in the main greenhouse.
