Traffic 'gridlocked' near hospital amid reports of a crash
Drivers are facing long queues in Basildon this afternoon following a crash.
Police are understood to be at the scene of the incident in Nethermayne, near Basildon Hospital.
Nibs buses has warned some of its services are delayed as a result of the collision, while one driver has taken to Twitter to say the surrounding roads are 'gridlocked'.
Due to an accident by Basildon Hospital, the 11, 21 & 374 will be delayed and will be diverted between the Hospital and Basildon Town Centre.

The AA's live traffic map says the crash has happened on the southbound carriageway between Laindon Link and Lee Wootens Lane.
It is understood the crash happened some time after 3pm.
