Here's a run down of the Basildon defendants in court so far this month.

Michael Dickson, 23, of Jermayns, Basildon, was charged with Harassment and breach of a restraining order on conviction. He was handed a community order and must comply with the following requirements: Rehabilitation Activity Requirement: 100 unpaid work requirement. He was also ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £95 and £145. He was also charged with conviction of an offence while a community order is in force. He was also in court for an offence of pursued a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment for which a community order was made and a community order made. He must comply with the following requirements: Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and 100 hours unpaid work.

Mark Burton, 43, of Loxford, Basildon, was in court charged with possession a controlled drug of class a - cocaine. On January 18 2020 in Colchester he had in his possession a quantity of cocaine. During the hearing he indicated plea of Guilty. A warrant allocated to Police was withdrawn and he was ordered to pay £21, £145, an order was made to destroy the drugs and change his details.

Anthony Harms, 44, of Marden Ash, Basildon, was in court charged with assault by beating, it was alleged he had assaulted a man by beating him. He was found Not Guilty and the case was dismissed.

Alexander Anderson, 46, of Buller Road, Basildon, was charged with assault by beating - after allegedly assaulting a women by beating her. He has been remanded on bail for a pre-sentence report to be prepared and the conditions include: not to contact directly or indirectly the victim, not to enter Hamble Lane, South Ockendon. He was also charged with sending a letter, communication or article conveying a threatening message and was remanded on bail for the same reasons with the same conditions. He was charged with sending by public communication network an offensive, indecent, obscene, menacing message or matter and again was remanded on bail for the same reasons with the same conditions.
