These ten areas in Essex currently have the worst rates of Covid-19 in the county.

MSOA (middle layer super output areas) data from the Government Coronavirus Dashboard shows the ten areas that have the highest rates in Essex.

This is measured through the case rate per 100,000 people in the seven days to October 3.

Two areas managed to reach over 700 cases per 100,000 people, with the number one spot going to Elmstead Market & Ardleigh at an average 790.4 cases.

This totalled a real-time change of 15 new cases in the area.

Second was Moulsham West with an average 729.4 cases with 14 new cases.

Essex overall has a case rate pero 100,000 people of 290.3, with 4348 in total when the data was realeased.
