POLICE are at the scene of a serious collision involving a motorbike and a car.
Burnham Road, in South Woodham Ferrers, is set to remain closed for at least another hour while officers complete forensic examination work and clear the road.
The crash was reported shortly after 12.20pm today and the motorcyclist has been taken to hospital. His injuries were described as life-threatening.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances behind the collision and are seeking witnesses.
